The Strength of Customs Knowledge

This is what we do best!

  • Customs law and related regulations
  • A no-nonsense approach with a results-driven mindset
  • Knowledge development and sharing at the heart of our organization

Who are we

We are Customs Knowledge. We stand for “a promise is a promise”, with a no-nonsense mentality, always getting to the core and speaking plainly. We like to win, but what matters most is the final result for our clients. Outwardly we are formal and professional, inwardly we are informal and collegial. We feel strongly connected to our clients and projects and deliver our services in a proactive and pragmatic way.

Knowledge forms the heart of our organisation and that is why we focus on developing knowledge, sharing knowledge and delivering quality. We believe that when you enjoy what you do, this leads to genuine involvement, perseverance and connections that last in the cooperation with one another and with our clients.

What we do

We advise businesses in the fields of customs, product and food safety, and international trade. We also conduct objection and appeal procedures before the various judicial authorities, and we provide courses, workshops and training. We assist during Customs audits, with licence applications, and we help to optimise customs logistics.

Our team

We work with an enthusiastic and committed team of professionals. Each employee at Customs Knowledge has a specific area of expertise. Our team consists of legal experts, lawyers and consultants who have built up many years of experience within Dutch Customs, the legal profession and international business. We also have colleagues whom we have trained ourselves and who are truly enthusiastic about the field of customs. In addition, we have a professional team of legal support staff to provide the best possible service to both us and our clients. Curious to know who is committed to working for you every day?

Partnerships

Grant Thornton and Customs Knowledge have been working together since September 2021. The two firms focus on providing integrated advice on tax issues in the fields of customs and VAT.

The demand for a comprehensive approach to customs law, VAT and other tax areas relating to international goods flows is increasing. With this partnership, Grant Thornton and Customs Knowledge offer such a comprehensive approach. Our two firms complement each other: Customs Knowledge focuses primarily on issues in the field of customs law, while Grant Thornton is specialised in, among other things, VAT matters and transfer pricing issues within international trade, logistics and transport.
